Namaste!. My name is Sushila. I am 32 years old. I live with my small family and two mischivious boys (Sushant and Gunda) in a quiet valley tucked away in the enchanting upper Uhl valley. My little home overlooks the flowing river which originates from the glaciers of Dhauladhar Himalayas. I wanted people from different parts of India and other countries to come and discover the beauty of my Valley. My family encouraged me to work hard on this idea and try to give shape to my dream. In 2017 the story of 'L'Affair Himachal' began.

In the beginning it was a small guesthouse of 3 rooms where travellers used to come and stay to get away from the chaos and noise of the plains and polluted towns. Each time I saw the smile of relief on their faces whenever they arrived here, I always felt that I must do something about my place and get better organised as a 'good host' in these enchanting mountains. My husband and my mother-in-law began to help me in the beginning. During the course of time I learnt a lot from my 'Guests'. Five years later I began to dream of increasing the Rooms accommodation. Since I did not have enough money to make construction of more rooms, I decided to take more Rooms on lease around me in the village. I had them all renovated and trained a new team of locals to help me manage the Rooms. I began to offer all my 'Guests' the same level of personalised services and care. 

'L'affair Himachal' (French) means 'The Himachal affair'. After observing that many of my 'Guests' returned again and again every year to spend time in Lohardi to stay with us, I soon realised it was like some kind of a love affair with the enchanting Himachal mountains all around me. One winter evening, sitting by the fire, me and my family decided to give our place a new name "L'affair Himachal".
